COFFEE SPOTS IN ZURICH, SWITZERLAND

For me a perfect day includes coffee.

I love to walk through Zurich and find some new coffee shops and try them out. Exceptly if they have this instagram vibe I am all about it but of corse the coffee also has to be good. I am an absolut Starbucks lover and may I will always be one but as it is very expensive in Zürich I decide to find some new coffee spots. In 2016 I try out a lot of new coffeehouses, -shops or just little take away coffee.

I will constantly update this post until the end of the year so you can follow my experience.

LA ZOUPA

A really cute coffee stop is La Zoupa in the near of the train station Stadelhofen. It is very cosy and looks like a little living room. They offer some great cakes which are always sold out in the end of the day.

Cakefriends

Next to La Zoupa you can find the next stop which is Cakefriends. Cakefriends is also very welcomy decoreded and offers some really nice coffe and cakes offers.

Grande Café and Bar

Near the tram station Central is a Coffee and bar street where you can find a lot of different options. One of my discoveries is the Grande Café. They always serve their coffees with beautiful design on it as you can see in the pictures:

ViCafe Bellevue

For a busy shopping day a coffee of the ViCafe is perfect. Also if you have planned to walk arround the Zurich Lake than you should visite this little Cafe. The coffee itself is very good and often you have a crowded group of peoples in front of it. Very long I did not even recognize this little shop but now it is often the only reason why I went to the Bellevue.

Café Schober Modissa

One of the most beautiful decoraded cafes you will find in Zurich are the Café Schober ones. One is in the Niederdörfli and the other one is in the Modissa building which is direct on the famous Bahnhofstrasse. Also the whole decoration is taged with the price tags so you can find out easily how much and where you can find the decoration to buy it for yourself.

Sprüngli Café & Restaurant am Paradeplatz

Sprüngli is one of the most famous cafés in Switzerland so it is always very touristy and crowded. But they do serve one of the best hot chocolates you can find in Zürich. Until now I always taked the the hot chocolate melangé and I could not recommand it any more. Also to take a dessert there is never a fault.
One of my target this year is also to try out their ice cups which you can self desgin. Sound like a dream to me and I will definately try it out in summer.

BANK Café & JOHN BAKER, Helvetiaplatz

The BANK Café is located by the Helvetia Platz of Zürich and it is one of the most beautiful building in my opinion. The atmosphere of this café is also amazing. It has this kind holiday vibe to it and you can always find a lot of people sitting together outside and eating some appetizers. It is a very georgous building where you can eat and drink a lot of delicious things. So everything what you need for a good café, right? Also the bakery JOHN BAKER looks just amazing and let the whole room smell of breads and cakes - and I am a big fan of it!

The little coffee spot ACID is an amazing place to go after work for some drinks or just even coffee. It is a little hipstery place near the Helvetiaplatz.
